(CHICKAMAUGA, GEORGIA) Dale McDowell, of Chickamauga, Georgia, had a very impressive weekend, as he swept the 'Turkey Rumble' at the Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee and the 'Blue/Gray 100' at the Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina to pocket $15,000! On Saturday night, November 14 at Cleveland, Dale lowered the track record at the historic oval to earn the pole position for the 40-lap main event. After outside polesitter Ray Cook got the jump at the outset of the race, Dale led laps 2-40 to lay claim to the $5,000 top prize over Cook, Skip Arp, William Thomas, and Jimmy Owens.

At Cherokee on Sunday during the prestigious 'Blue/Gray 100,' Dale qualified well and later won his competitive heat race. After starting from the third position in the 100-lapper, the driver known as the "MacDaddy" quickly grabbed the top spot away from Jimmy Owens. He then paced the stout field until lap 58 when Dennis Erb moved past his #17m Clint Bowyer Racing entry. However, Dale wrestled the point back away from Erb with twenty circuits remaining and cruised to the $10,000 victory by defeating Erb, Jimmy Owens, Jonathan Davenport, and Chris Ferguson. "It was an extremely good weekend for the Clint Bowyer Racing team and it seems like everything is clicking for us here at the end of the season," commented McDowell via telephone earlier today. "Our Warrior racecars are really fast and I can't say enough about these new Earnhardt-Childress Racing engines. I feel like our program is heading in the right direction and we are learning a lot of things that will hopefully make us fast right out of the box next season!"

The Clint Bowyer Racing team will take the upcoming weekend off from racing action, as they will be attending the 2009 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Championship Banquet. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 21 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dale will receive numerous accolades for his fourth place finish in the final series point standings.
