Danica headlines latest group of drivers selected for the Prelude to the Dream..

Danica Patrick, Kenny Wallace, Ryan Newman, Bobby Labonte, Ty Dillon and Aric Amirola are the latest 6 drivers to join the Prelude to the Dream field.

That brings the field up to 18.. Previous drivers announced were Clint Bowyer, Kasey Kahne, Kurt Busch, Dave Blaney, Tony Kanaan, Ron Capps, Jimmie Johnson, Justin Allgaier, Bill Elliott, Ray Evernham, David Gilliland and Cruz Pedregon...
 
I have to eat my words on this one. I didn't think she had it in her. She has just gained a little bit of my respect.

I agree MommaDrew. It turned out to be the Danica 500, now this will be the Prelude to Danica. Geez. I wonder whose car she is going to crash this time?

I think its great and I give her big props for giving this a shot. She's going to bring alot of new fans and big companys to watch this race. This race is for a good cause and I hope the donations bring in the money. Its not her fault she gets all this media coverage. So all you whiners need to get over it.
 
Mans biggest fear: Getting bead by a lady. Come one anyone that can bring tv or new sponsors to a dirt track is good news not to say new fans.
 
I have to give her props as well, playing in the dirt with the boys & atleast at Daytona she didn't run into the blower truck like Montoya,what a joke that was & I don't think wreck was her fault. Though would love to see Kenny Schrader teach her what dirt is all about. & if brings GODADDY ads & money that's great, for a good cause anyway
 
Anybody who hates her and don't want her at these shows don't know how important she is to racing... And they call dirtboy a idiot !!!
 
Rank the drivers in all of Cup, Nationwide, and Trucks and tell me where she would rank. It's not the fact that she does or doesn't do "something" for the sport. It's the fact that if you look at it as real racing, she has not proven herself! T.V. tells all of the naive fans that Danica belongs. What they need to tell them is that the only reason she is there is $$$$
Remember when you were younger and there were tryouts for teams based on your ability. Put her in a tryout and take the gender, politically correct stuff out of it! Where does she finish?
It's not a fact of hating, it's the fact of traditional racing going down the tubes to advertising t.v.
 
She'll help bring in people/sponsors. However, who's starting the pool on how many cars she totals during the practice session and race?

the one and only time jr. ran dirt was at I55,,stayed way back outa harms way,,bet she hauls it in like the big boys,what she does next is the ?? cauz you are some what out-a control at the big E getting in,,i been there and ya gotta **** it up at 170 ish down the back stright 00 040.jpg...i volenteer to check her seat belts..oh ya,,i named one of my pups danica,,the black one,not caus she is a dog but that she is the dark horse where ever she runs in nascar...bet she surprises ya all nay sayers,,,,next is dancin wiff da stars
 
everyone always says they want big money sponsors and exposure for local dirt racing. those are the exact factors that has killed NASCAR, and it will happen in local dirt racing as well.

I agree with you. A local star complained a few days back that his Nationwide ride was being bought out by some rich kids because off sponsorship issues. Then the same driver brings big $$$ in the local modified class? Back to the original post, any of these Dream cars get the dreaded traction control? just wondering.
