Danica Patrick wins Indy Car race!

With this win and Graham Rahal's last week, this is shaping up to be one of the best open wheel seasons in the history of the sport. I can't wait until Indy.

Expect Danica to win again and again. She may have won in a fuel-mileage race, but she's capable of winning in every race.

Congrats to Danica. I'm not much on Indy racing but she's had some really good runs and deserves a win.
 
has anyone heard about the weight limit they are trying to impose on the idny car drivers? several teams are claiming because of her light weight, that danica has an advantage. from what I read a few weeks ago they are trying to impose a minimal driver weight, that is above what she weighs now. I could be wrong, so if I am plz dont get all grouchy with me lol. WTG Danica on your win.
 
I would not put it past them to say something like that but they also have a car/driver waight to meet, so that's crazy looser talk. That is why if you ever notice at the end of a race some drivers are told to run up in the loose rubber to pick some up to add weight befor they scale. Again WAY to GO Danica. Speaking of Danica, There's another darn good looking short long hair lady with a pony tail hanging out her racing hat. Now that makes 2 far out, good looking "Racer Chicks" You know who the other one is Im shure.:D:D
 
I don't think their is a minimum driver weight, but it as actual to do with weights they put in the car. The whole car with driver has to weight the same, so basically they can add or take away weight to make it even.

Great from a PR standpoint for the IRL. The entire year so far is playing out great for them. Now all they need is for a miracle that allows Tony Stewart to run the Indy 500 and this year will be perfect for them.

There was some controversy last year spearheaded by Robbie Gordon saying it was an advantage for Danica because she weighed so little. Maybe Robbie wouldn't weigh as much if he'd lose his fat ego. I'm not very fond of Nascar drivers named Gordon.
 
Last Champ Car race was today. I was bummed to see it end, but on the upside it brings a lot more racers to the IRL, and the IRL is running road courses now too. So much for George's claims about an oval only series.:rolleyes: But Danica said so herself today, at least "bump day" at Indy next year will really mean something again. Bout time.
