Dart Machinery Joins NARA for 2004 Season

LEXINGTON, KY--Dart Machinery based out of Troy, Michigan has joined the 2004 NARA DirtCar Series, O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar and NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series as a major contingency sponsor for the upcoming 2004 Season.

"We are pleased to be associated with the NARA DirtCar Series, O'Reilly’s NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Dirt Car and NARA Open Wheel Modified Series,” said Ted "Bud" Keating, General Manager of Dart Machinery. "We are wanting to get more involved in dirt track racing and thought this would be a great opportunity for us and the series to work together to promote our product lines," said Keating. Series Director, Spencer Wilson is also pleased with Dart Machinery coming on board with the sanction body in 2004. "With us adding the NARA Open Wheel Modifeds and the NARA DirtCar Series in 2004, we feel with Dart's involvement we can grow the NARA sanction even more and offer Dart many unique ways to promote their company and products."



Dart Machinery's product lines include aluminum and cast iron engine blocks that are designed to meet the specialized needs of racers and performance enthusiasts. Dart components are developed in house, manufactured on Dart's own CNC machining centers, and tested on Dart's computer-controlled engine dyno. One of the market leaders in championship engine components, Dart Machinery also specializes in cylinder heads and intake manifolds.



Started in 1981 by founder, Richard Maskin the company joins the NARA DirtCar Series, O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar and NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series as a contingency sponsor this year with the following incentives:



For the NARA DirtCar Series and O’Reilly’s NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series - First place in the A-Main at each event will receive $200 if the winning engine is equipped with Dart Cylinder Heads and a Dart Engine Block. There will be $100 to the winner of the A-Main if the engine has either a Dart Cylinder Heads or a Dart Engine Block.



For the newly formed NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series - First place in the A-Main at each event will receive $100 if the winning engine is equipped with Dart Cylinder Heads and a Dart Steel Engine Block. There will be $100 to the winner of the A-Main if the engine has either a Dart Cylinder Heads or a Dart Steel Engine Block.



The 2004 O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series begins its third year of sanctioning dirt late model racing in Kentucky and Tennessee on Good Friday, April 9 at the Florence Speedway in Union, KY. The event will pay $3000 to win. The NARA DirtCar Series will kick off its inaugural season the following night at Florence with a $10,000 to win event the following night April 10th. The NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modifeds makes their first laps around the track on May 14th at Clinton County Speedway.
