Paducah, KY- March 17, 2010- Decatur Used Cars is challenging any UMP Street Stock Driver (that has not competed at PIR in the last 12 months) that comes to the First Annual Rumble by the River at Paducah International Raceway on March 26th and 27th by adding a $250 bonus for each night’s feature winner provided that the winner also finished in the Top 10 in UMP Street Stock points at his/her home track. This would make it possible for one driver to walk away with $1000 for the weekend. Each night’s feature is going to pay $250 to win, and UMP Points will be awarded each night. This will be a great chance for new UMP Street Stock racers to try out the popular high banked oval and have a great weekend of racing.
Also on the racing card for Friday night will be the UMP Late Models ($1000 to win), UMP Modifieds ($1000 to win), UMP Pro Late Models ($500 to win), UMP 4 Cylinder Warriors, and the Kentucky Vintage Cars.
Along with the UMP Street Stocks on Saturday March 27th, the UMP Modifieds will be racing for $2000 to win; UMP Pro Late Models will be vying for $727 to win; and the 4 Cylinder Warriors will also be racing.
There will also be an open practice on March 25th for everyone who would like to come and shake their cars down.
The Pit gate will open on Friday and Saturday at 3 PM with the grandstand gate opening at 5 PM. Hot laps will be at 6:30 with racing starting promptly at 7 PM. Grandstand admission will be $15 for Adults with Children 12 and under FREE for both days. Pit admission will be $25 on Friday and $30 on Saturday.
2010 marks Paducah International Raceway’s fifth year with the current NASCAR driver owners. “Get Dirty” at PIR with racing every Friday night.
