Dedwylder Romps at The Ridge!

Columbus, MS-The MSCCS made its only appearance of the 2005 tour at Pine Ridge Speedway with a strong turnout of 32 MSCCS Super Late Models in the pits to take on the tight semi banked quarter mile. Action would get underway with the customary Brown Engineering Pole Qualifying with Vossburg’s Scott Dedwylder claiming his first pole award of the year along with seeing the top eight drivers locked into the field. A series of 4 Cliburn Tank Lines qualifying races were held with David Breazeale winning the first one and having to uncustomarily race his way into the field with Rodney Wing, Neil Baggett, and Mike Boland taking qualifying race wins as well.

The 50-lap main event would see Dedwylder go flag to flag to take his first MSCCS win of the season and the $2,500 first place prize. David Gentry would continue to knock down top five finish after top five finish to take second and also maintain his points lead with Mike Boland being one of the top hard chargers on the evening coming from 12th to earn a podium finish. Completing the top five were Marty Hardy who also picked up a lot of positions coming to fourth after starting 13th with local ace Joey McKinney completing the top five. Rounding out the top ten were Keith Flurry, Jay Blair, Neil Baggett, Chad Thrash, and Dennis Duncan up from 21st.
