MADISON, Ill. - Defending World of Outlaws Late Model champion Tim McCreadie will pilot the #21 Auto Zone car fielded by Richard Childress Racing in Saturday's NASCAR Busch Series 250 at Gateway International Raceway. McCreadie made his NASCAR debut earlier this year at the Milwaukee Mile.

T-Mac is one of the toughest competitors to wheel a car around an oval. In addition to his WoO championship, McCreadie also has a victory in the prestigious Chili Bowl, winning the event in 2006. Other winners of the event include two-time NASCAR Nextel Cup Series champion Tony Stewart, former WoO champion Dave Blaney, and legendary WoO and Sprint Car champion Sammy Swindell.

"In an area boasting some of best dirt tracks in the country, Tim McCreadie is a huge addition to an already impressive lineup here at Gateway," said GIR Vice President and General Manager Lenny Batycki. "When you look at the guys racing here, whether it's (former USAC Champions) Jason Leffler and J.J. Yeley or Dave Blaney or the Wallaces and Carl Edwards, the dirt tracks have created some of the best drivers in the business and T-Mac is no exception."

The Waterton, N.Y., native has 14 years of racing experience under his belt and he is now throwing his hat into the NASCAR ring. He has chosen good company; his RCR teammates this weekend at GIR are Scott Wimmer and hometown favorite Kenny Wallace.

Tickets for Saturday's NASCAR Busch Series event are selling quickly. To ensure a spot for what is lining up to be the most competitive race in the track's history, call 866-35-SPEED or visit GatewayRaceway.com.
