(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series dipped south into the Peach State and took the Dennis Erb Racing team to Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia and Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia on September 30-October 1 for two more pivotal point battles. On Saturday evening in the $12,000 to win 'Dixie Shootout,' Dennis Erb, Jr. was involved in a heat race skirmish and placed seventh in his stacked prelim. After running fifth in his B-Main, Dennis utilized a series provisional to roll off from the outside of the twelfth row in the 60-lap headliner. During the course of the prestigious 'Dixie Shootout,' the Carpentersville, Illinois standout drove past half of the field en route to a respectable twelfth place showing.

In the annual 'Rome Showdown' on Sunday night, Dennis finished ninth in his stacked heat race and eighth in his B-Main. After being forced to use another series provisional, Dennis started the $10,000 to win affair from the inside of the twelfth row. He then soldiered on to garner a twentieth place performance at Rome and still sits eighth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings.
