(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. made his yearly September pilgrimage to the hallowed high-banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 7-9 for the 47th edition of the famed 'World 100.' The three-day crown jewel spectacular started with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs, each of which paid $10,000 to the winner. On Thursday night, Dennis narrowly missed out on transferring into the 25-lap main event by finishing fifth in his loaded heat race and third in his B-Main. Unfortunately, Dennis suffered the same fate on Friday evening at the "Big E" after once again running fifth in his heat race and third in his consolation race.

On Saturday at the Darke County facility, the largest crowd in the history of Eldora Speedway assembled to witness the 'World 100,' which boasted a gigantic $50,000 windfall. Dennis stormed past eight competitors in his heat race to earn the third and final transfer spot behind only Jonathan Davenport and Tim McCreadie. After rolling off from the outside of the eighth row in the 100-lap 'World 100,' the Carpentersville, Illinois ace went down a lap to leader and eventual winner Davenport during the extra-distance affair, but wound up the first car a lapped down in the seventeenth position. Full results from the 1/2-mile speedplant in the Buckeye State can be accessed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

The #28 team has another hectic week in store, as they are set to travel to both the Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois and Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa from September 13-16. Up first is a visit to the nearby Joliet oval tonight for a UMP Super Late Model special, which is set to pay $5,000 to the victor. They will then make the overnight journey west to Knoxville for the 14th Annual 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.'

Two complete Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series programs will be held on Thursday and Friday with each preliminary feature winner set to record a $7,000 top prize. Drivers will earn points in both of those shows to determine the lineups for Saturday's Championship Night, which will include a D-Main, C-Main, B-Main, and the 100-lap, $40,000 to win 'Knoxville Nationals' main event. Dennis comes into the Marion County Fairgrounds complex eighth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings.
