(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Current Northern AllStar Late Model Series
(NALMS) and UMP Challenge of Champions point leader, Dennis Erb, Jr.,
captured his fourth win this season in the state of Indiana last Saturday
night at the Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, IN. The race was co-sanctioned
by the NALMS Series and the UMP Challenge of Champions Series and paid
$2,000 to the Carpentersville, Illinois driver. Dennis piloted his Petroff
Towing / B&K Sportswear & Vinyl Graphics #28 Rayburn / Hedrick Monte Carlo
to a heat race win to give Dennis an outside second row starting spot in the
feature. The driver of the #28 blasted to the lead early in the 30-lapper
and then held off his competitors through heavy lapped traffic to bring home
the victory, his fifth of the season.

Dennis was also slated to compete in an UMP Challenge of Champions event on
Friday night at the Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL on Friday night,
but that event was cancelled due to rain. However, Dennis did get to hit
the track on Sunday night for yet another UMP Challenge of Champions show at
the Vermillion County Speedway in Danville, IL. Dennis qualified eighth for
the show last night, ran seventh in the dash, and second in his heat race.
He wound up sixth in the 30-lap, $2,000 to win feature event that featured
little passing due to the track conditions.

"We have had pretty good luck in Indiana this year, maybe we need to race
there more often," said Dennis on Monday. "We were pretty good at Kamp on
Saturday night. Lapped traffic slowed us up a bit, but we were able to get
through it and bring home the win. Then on Sunday, we couldn't do too much
because of the track conditions. I did try to make a move to the inside on
a restart during the feature and I passed a few cars, but then I got
penalized those positions for jumping the start. Their restart rule was
that you could fire when the leader fired, so when (Don) O'Neal fired, I
turned left and went under some of those guys that didn't fire right away
and didn't want to get out of the rubber. The officials penalized me back
to sixth and that is where we finished."

Dennis has another trio of events on the docket for this weekend, as he is
scheduled to compete in a pair of NALMS events and one UMP Challenge of
Champions show. The weekend kicks off this Friday night with a $2,000 NALMS
show at the Kankakee Motor Speedway in Kankakee, IL. Dennis will then
travel to the Crown Point Speedway in Crown Point, IN for another $2,000
NALMS event. The weekend will wrap up at the Fayette County Speedway in
Brownstown, IL. You can learn more about all of these events by accessing
