Is it just me or does anybody else think the ump mods would get more view's then the usmts series?

Thinks Jimmy D, should start a show. "As tha E-MOD Turns". With some of tha threads on here an actors involved. He sure wouldnt need writers!

Not from what I've seen of both series. You get those UMP guys on a hard tire and they seem to struggle but it's also been a while since Hughes, Shryock and company have lit it up in a UMP race too. Thanks to mostly the tire rules, the cars, chassis, chassis setups, and maybe driving style too seem to have really gotten different. Maybe that's just me. UMP tracks may be closer to more population though but the key to making a series like that work on TV is attracting some non-dirt track audience and I don't think UMP would make any difference there.

Over 17,000 likes for Dirt Knights on Facebook! That's good. Not sure how that translates into the TV world.

Us 'west of the Mississippi folk' are enjoying Dirt Knights just as it is!

What's the UMP 'Money Race' schedule look like after Florida? Here's ours:

Open Wheel Modified Racing 2011 - "The Big Ones"

These are USMTS, USRA, SMP and non-sanctioned races with simliar rules and all use American Racer KK704s (and occassionally, Hoosier G60s) as the tire rule which is the predominant tire rule for the class west of the Mississippi. These are midwest, midsouth and southwest shows.

Date - Event, location, (sanction) - combined win amount for the dates indicated or if the 2011 info has not been released yet, what it paid last year in ( ).

February 17-19 - USMTS Spring Nationals, Baytown, TX (USMTS) - $7000

USRA National Championship - $10,000

With one of those championships, that's almost $300,000 to win. Not bad for a year of modified racing. Hughes, Phillips, Gustin, maybe Sanders, maybe Kelly, (who else?) etc., are all capable of winning 1/3 of these, you reckon?

If you know of other 'Big Ones' for Open Wheel Modifieds that use AR KK704 tires and/or Hoosier G60s and USMTS/USRA type rules, let me know and we'll add them. Post here or email hooks@isp.com

wow!!! I didnt know they paid that good. They have some good ump races and from what i seen on dirt knights our local guys put on a better show. Griffaw,Harrison, walsh could run with them guy's on any giving night.

I have to make a couple changes to that schedule. The WMDTC rain date is in July, not April and this year, the USMTS Champ gets $20,000 not 10.

Well Humboldt was real good on Dirt Knights and the other ones weren't bad so if your guys race better than that, then I'll agree. Deer Creek comes on the show later on. THAT'S THE TRACK right there!!!

Let's see what these guys do at the WMDTC:

05 Steven Brooks, New Lenox, Ill
33 Joe Huenefeld, Freeport, Ill.
3L Jeff Leka, Buffalo, Ill.
89 Mike Spatola, Manhattan, Ill.
32 Donavan Lodge, Moline, Ill.
18 Michael Long, Quincy, Ill.

They have entered. Hope them other guys you named will enter too.

What's Chad Kinder & Kevin Weaver doing these days? How 'bout #77? Jerry Kramer? Is that correct???

I will be the first to jump on harrison when he hits someone, but to say he cant run with them guy's is crazy.

Michael Long has definitely been on top of his game, he should be very competitive there.
