The show will now be known as Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil. Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil features guests from the worlds of dirt Late Model, Modified and Sprint Car racing each week including drivers, team owners, promoters, sanction officials, media, crewmembers and others.

“As far as we can tell the fellows on Dirt Nation™ are the leaders of (dirt racing radio) as far as promotions and promoting what we’re doing, and the sport, and we feel we’re a leader and want to get the word out on what we’re doing and Dirt Nation™ can help in that,” stated Forrest Lucas, President of the Lucas Oil Company.

Lucas Oil Company’s commitment to dirt racing has taken a giant step forward in recent years and its been welcomed by many in the industry. Lucas Oil exemplifies an entity of professionalism, commitment, resources, solid business experience and planning and a long-term plan of action and industry insiders are also tossing around terms like stability, longevity, respect and validity. Lucas Oil’s commitment to dirt racing also extends to the recently purchased former Wheatland Raceway in Wheatland, MO that is now undergoing extensive remodeling and renovation. Lucas Oil also owns the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and is the title sponsor of the IMCA Modifieds for all regions, the upcoming Knoxville Raceway’s Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals and other entities and projects.

“Lucas Oil is excited to be a part of Dirt Nation™,” commented Bob Patison, Executive Vice-President of Lucas Oil Company. “We’re excited about this whole dirt track racing culture and Dirt Nation™ seems to be kind of the lifeline for a lot of the people in this sport. So being involved with Dirt Nation™ helps us become more involved ourselves with this sport and with the people who participate in this sport, the team owners, racers and the fans. That’s how we like to do things when we get involved, we like to jump in with both feet and this is part of that process.”

“We did our homework and we talked to a lot of people in the industry and the names Dirt Nation™ and Doc Lehman and Dave Seay kept coming up in a positive vein. We looked around and talked to a good many people and got their opinions and Dirt Nation™ seems to have a very strong reputation and very high ranking of credibility and we like that and we like to associate ourselves with people like that so we felt it was a good fit and we’re excited about being a part of it.”

“We didn’t know that much about dirt track racing on a national level prior to this year, we’ve been involved in sponsorship on a local and regional level, but on a national level, from the touring series perspective, this is a new frontier for us so we did a lot of homework to get ourselves up to speed and educated and Dirt Nation™ and Doc Lehman and those names just kept popping up in a positive way and that swayed our decision.”

Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil is now in its third year of broadcasting and is hosted each week by Dave Seay, Brian Tidball and Doc Lehman. Each week Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil brings listeners the voices of dirt track racing including drivers, team owners, promoters, sanction officials, media, sponsors, manufacturers, crewmembers and others involved in the sport. During 2004 alone Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil welcomed nearly 170 different guests.

“We are extremely appreciative of the generosity extended to us by the Lucas Oil Company,” said co-host Doc Lehman. “The entire company and staff of Lucas Oil are firmly behind and supportive of dirt track racing and thanks to their generosity and faith in our show we will be able to keep the show going stronger than ever. Lucas Oil gives us a chance to continue to bring the voices of American dirt track racing to the public each and every week.”

“It’s great that Lucas Oil has come on board with us as we enter our third year, it’s great and we appreciate Lucas Oil and what they are doing in the sport,” added co-host Brian Tidball.

With Lucas Oil on board show producers Seay and Lehman are looking for Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil to expand its audience and engage in some special promotions. Also on the way will be a new logo and an all new Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil website.

“The show will be available on satellite very shortly so we’ll be broadening our horizons and getting on more radio stations across the country,” commented co-host Dave Seay. “That will definitely help expand our audience and get the word out on what is going on in the world of dirt track racing. We’re also currently speaking with several promoters about bringing Dirt Nation™ presented by Lucas Oil out on the road for some live broadcasts from some special events this season and we’re currently conceptualizing some special promotions and contests for our listeners.”
