This Monday evening February 28 will be another exciting and high-powered program on DIRT NATION presented by Switchme.net, one of the hottest dirt racing oriented radio programs to hit the airwaves. Drivers from the world of dirt Late Model and Modified racing will all be featured guests. DIRT NATION presented by Switchme.net is hosted each Monday evening by the Rat Pack, featuring Dave Seay, Brian Tidball and Doc Lehman and airs every Monday evening from 8:00 – 10:00 PM EST and can be accessed over the internet at: http://www.racetalklive.com

The staff of Dirt Nation is excited and proud to announce that Duayne Hommel will be making a special guest appearance on Monday night. Several months ago Hommel appeared for just a couple short minutes but this coming week Hommel will appear in an extended segment along with long-time family friend Ron ‘Flea’ Fleenor. Hommel, one of the brightest stars in dirt Late Model racing, suffered severe head injuries following a traffic accident on September 23, 2003 near Newport, TN and is still recovering.

Also appearing will be DIRT Modified star Tim Fuller of Watertown, NY. Fuller, who recently ran a dirt Late Model team car with Billy Decker and the John Wight owned team in Florida, is the driver of the Bob and Michele Faust owned B&F General Machine Inc., sponsored #1. It was recently announced that car owner Bob Faust and driver Tim Fuller have accepted an invitation into the elite group of nine drivers from DIRT Motorsports dubbed "The Nasty 9".

Brady Smith of Solon Springs, WI will also be on hand. The defending ’04 WDRL Champion and Rookie of the Year just came off a stellar week at East Bay Raceway Park in Florida where Smith scored a 12th in Lucas Oil NARA Dirt Car Series points and also took home the R.A.C.E. ‘Rookie Award’. In addition to making five feature events, Smith set fast time one night against a stout 111-car field.

Also appearing will be long-time championship dirt Late Model championship star racer Al Purkey of Coffeyville, KS. Purkey won his latest championship title with the NCRA sanctioning body in 2004. Purkey successfully defended his O'Reilly/NCRA Late Model Series crown in ‘04 and closed in on a career milestone in the process. Purkey won six main events during 2004 to give him 22 career victories, only two short of the all-time record of 24 held by the late Larry Phillips. Purkey, one of the top runners west of the Mississippi, drives the Larry Shaw Race Cars/Hatfield Racing Engines #33 sponsored by Taylor Made Performance.
