Dirt race at Edward Jones Dome in December 16

Sounds neat but it is not big enough. Ask the people who went to the one in Indy. It was a joke. Next theyll be filling it up and having bass tournaments in there. Give me a break. Again...sounds neat, but come on.
 
Only questions I have are ventilation ventilation ventilation...how are they going to ventilate the place? I just don't want to see a repeat of Indy. That was bad and all they ran was midgets and karts. Superb idea and I'd love to run it but we'll see more details and answers soon.

Its gonna be a 1/5 mile track (belleville), indy was 1/10. Size is ok if there is some bank. Who's hosting this is my question and will it be invite or open to anyone?

article say's it will be a 1/5 mile and of course banking in the corners will help for better racing. And if you've every been to Belleville or Macon race tracks the racing is awesome and not follow - the - leader. I know there's a lot of ventilation in the Dome but agree with Ryan21Mid. Although it WILL NOT keep my wife and I way from what could be a good move going forward for all of us here in the Mid-West...... Let's remember asphalt is for getting there and DIRT is for racing, enough said....!!!!

Well unless some of the seats for football are removeable (maybe so) I dont see how its going to be viable. I mean I hope it is....it sounds really cool. However if youve ever been in the dome for football....its not all that big ( the field area). 1/5 mi huh? I hope im wrong but I bet it makes Belle Vegas look like Daytona. They might as well try it though. Maybe it will be awesome, but ive been to "indoor" races. It hasnt been great. Having said all that, by December were in such withdrawl from not going to the races, ill probably buy a ticket. At least you dont need a PSL like the Rams games.

Yep, more than enough. Tracks are measured around the circumference of the track at the tires, berm or inside wall on the bottom of the track so it's going to be much bigger than most people think. Can't wait.......

Hell ...if it goes over and is successful....as much work it is to make a track in there...they might as well have them every weekend for a month or so and make a winter series out of it or something. I want to believe it will be good racing but Indy was such a cluster, Its hard to imagine.
 
Cmon ya'll this is going to be a great show and you guys concerned about ventilation they have had monster jam and supercross there several times listen I live in poplar bluff and if I'm living and breathing I will be there
 
Signmaster just sit down and enjoy the show.If they can have SX and monster jam in the dome there will b plenty of room and ventilation for lm and mods. This is a great opportunity to get dirt racing into the limelight and show what a great sport we all enjoy. Hopefully it isn't invite only cause it'd be nice to see hammer man wheelin around the dome!
