Dirt race at Edward Jones Dome in December 16

I would like to rent a booth there to sell ear plugs. I hope it works out. I dont live in STL anymore and was sorry to hear yall got punked by Kroenke on the rams deal. Maybe this is a silver lining. We will probably drive in to see the folks and take in the race just to see if its a joke. I hope not. Like I said....it sounds really neat. St Louis needs something good to happen regarding the dome.

Is there going to be room to park all of the truck and trailers if they make this an open invitation? I will definitely be there!

LET's GO RACING.........
If this is a go forward event we should be okay after I ran through several media and other social outlets to get more info.

This is a little take on some of the conversations that's listed on more than 6+ different websites. And the Convention Center is NOT hurting for money or a need to remove the Dome. Look up all the different events they have hosted just in the past 2 years, and for a city of 317,419 they have more at there fingertips than K.C. which is larger. They need to STOP trying to sell what they call space because they have it already.....!!!!

Pulled off of this post:
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –
As local convention officials consider making improvements to the America’s Center, there’s talk they could call for the demolition of the Edward Jones Dome.
On Thursday, commissioners will receive a report on what needs to be done to the convention center to keep pace with facilities in other cities. Officials say improvements will include expanded banquet facilities, exhibition space and additional loading docks.

As for how that could impact the Dome, including demolishing it, Convention and Visitors Commission President Kitty Ratcliffe says it’s too soon to know.

“We have not ruled anything out, to be clear about that,” she says. “It is not the primary focus and has not been discussed at any great length.”

Meanwhile, Commission Vice Chair Kim Tucci has a slightly different take.
“You might have to make adjustments and you might have to change the configuration,” he says, “but we’re not tearing down the Dome. That would be out of the question.”

Tucci says no one’s even talked about it.

Ratcliffe says any decision on the Dome’s future is a long way off. She also points out that the Dome is owned by the city of St. Louis, the state of Missouri and St. Louis County, so the CVC could only make recommendations about its future

We need to also mention the people of St. Louis are still on the hook for well over 100 MILLION (some est. are 129 million) that should be payed off in 2021.

It will be fun at least to watch it!!!! It may be a one time event, but it will give St. Louis something look forward to. Could bring money into the St. Louis area that they would not normally be getting.

Sign master, do you ever have anything positive to say. Why not try to find the good and there is a lot of good with this, instead of finding something to complain about! They host monster trucks, super cross, and other events and indy was a basketball court plus they only had a couple days to get that track setup as the pacers played a home game which made the setup difficult.

Apparently they did some similar events at the Pontiac Silverdome back in the 1980's both on dirt with the NDRA late models USAC open wheel cars and then on pavement with ASA. In these pictures it looks interesting I wonder how those events worked out?

My monster truck customer has run there several times and it is a huge building but I think that the dome in St Louis is similarly sized.

I would like to be part of this deal-(if my body will cooperate) would imagine there will be a entry fee and pit fee---should be plenty of room in the expo hall to park the rigs--but do they have enough ventilation for the genaraters---might be better to provide electric (@ a fee) to the racers
