DIRT Registration forms for UMP drivers!!

Most all other sanctions including IMCA have always made it mandatory to be registered.

UMP is going down-hill why should drivers buy a License anyway dont they spend enough anyway all frickin year GIVE me a Break!!!!! Dirt is going to **** the drivers wallets dry!!

Like my Papa always said If most people jumped off a bridge would you have to too? My Daddy was a wise man.

WHEN DID THIS DECISION COME DOWN? WAS IT IN THE LAST 2 DAYS? IT WASN'T MENTIONED AT THE ALLIED OR TCS RULES MEETINGS. KEVIN WAS ASKED IF HE KNEW OF ANY CHANGES AND HE SAID HE HAD SPOKE WITH DIRT AND EVERYTHING WAS THE SAME AS LAST YEAR.

ITS NOT THE $75(WASN'T IT $55 LAST YEAR? $20 INCREASE?) AS MUCH AS ITS THE PRICIPLE. ITS STRONG ARMING THE RACER! KIND OF A HAVE YA' BY THE BALLS DEAL! THERE ARE MANY RACERS WHO HAVE BOUGHT AND MANY MORE WHO HAVE NEVER PURCHASED A UMP MEMBERSHIP WHO HAVE NEVER RECIEVED A DIME FROM UMP. THE ONLY MONEY THEY EVER GOT WAS FROM THE PROMOTER OF WHATEVER TRACK THEY RUN. OUT OF THE THOUSANDS WHO DO BUY ONE 70 WOOOHOOO GET ANYTHING IN RETURN.

WHY WOULD THE JOE BLOW 1 NIGHT A WEEK RACER , WHO GOES TO THE MOVIES WITH THE FAMILY WHEN IT RAINS, WANT TO BUY A MEMBERSHIP?

WHY DOESN'T ALLIED AND TCS MAKE IT MANDATORY TO HAVE A TRACK MEMBERSHIP TO RUN AT THEIR TRACKS? MIGHT AS WELL JUMP ON THE BAND WAGON AND MAKE A BUCK.

IF ALL THE RACERS WHO NEVER HAVE AND THOSE WHO DIDN'T PLAN ON BUYING A UMP MEMBERSHIP STAYED HOME THE 1ST FEW NIGHTS. PROMOTERS WOULD BE TALKING WITH DIRT ABOUT THIS.

RACERS NEED TO WEIGHT THEIR OPTIONS. FIGURE OUT WHATS BEST FOR THEM, INSTEAD OF BEING TOLD WHATS BEST FOR THEM.

LOOK AT THE LINKS DOUG JENKINS HAD ON HERE FROM THE NORTH EAST. DIRT IS BEING KICKED TO THE CURB BY SOME TRACKS UP THERE. BECAUSE THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING FOR TRACKS.

MAYBE THATS WHY THEY BOUGHT UMP???? GOT THEMSELVES INTO ANOTHER SECTION OF THE COUNTRY WHERE THEIR WELCOME ISN'T WORN OUT????

JUST MY OPINION. FLAME IT IF YOU MUST!

I posted on another board on this subject but as i said, what happens on opening night of our local track if say 30 mods show up, and only 5 are registred and the rest refuse to pay. what will the track do, run 5 cars, tell the fans sorry or what. if it happens in latemodels too, tracks could have bad times ahead. fans say if your not going to let cars race, were not coming back, etc etc, then what do the tracks say to the sanctioning body when they cant pay there weekly fees. I dont mind a little membership fee if you get something for it, but raising it to 75 is crap. dont see any way around it though. In a way if this becomes the norm i forsee many tracks going unsanctioned, they would lose out on summernationals or some other big races they have and maybe a few top drivers, however it may attract many other cars, crews, and fans of those who are not in it for points and can race different tracks and sanctions because of lack of sanction. tracks might make more money weekly because of it. who knows, total bs though
