Dissapointment

There are a few of reasons for my dissapointment tonight [4-16-05] at S.F.C.R. One is track condition. The ruts in turns 2 & 4 seemed to give many drivers fits tonight. I hope the powers that be at S.F.C.R. will make all necessary repairs to the track before next weekend. Another was the Modified A- Main. Not because the 85G finished third, that is a great finish. As a fan, when the driver & car you cheer for has a 5th place finish [ after starting 16th],& a 3rd place in consecutive weekends, that tells me that Joe Geisler & the 85G should be a force to be reckoned with this year. What happened in the final lap of the race is what I don't understand.Mike "hurricane" Francis cut on the inside of the 85G, had to go on the inside birm to do it,wasn't even on the track.Francis shoved the 85G through turns 1 & 2, Joe had to ease off the gas to keep Mike from putting him into the back straightaway wall. This questionable act by the "hurricane" allowed Casey Burch to take the lead & the checkard flag.I'm not going to resort to name calling,or even hold a grudge against Mike. I know Joe won't. He will wait for his oppritunity to race Mike again & beat him fair & square,as he would have tonight.I hope there is an explanation for what Mike did or at least an apology to Joe. I know "rubbin' is racin' " & all the other sayings, but not when you have to leave the track to do it.As it stands now at 3:20 AM sunday april 17 2005,I have lost respect for the "hurricane", and that is the most dissapointing reason of all.

I was not there, but the way my freinds passed it on to me. If demolition joe geisler had not ran over John bohn for the lead, John Bohn would have won the feature. I support the race tracks decicion to let racers sort it out themselfs.

get it straight

for your information motsinger john bohn broke a spring slider early in the feature and was having a little trouble joe didnt run over him. the one that did finish johns night was mr hurricane.

I agree totally. When Mike did hit John, automatically, I was thinking "black flag" cuz I know John didn't do that himself, but what do I know?! I'm not an official out there. But Mike was in way over his head last night and it wasn't at all cool.

For Your Info John doesn't have spring sliders, it's mounted in spring pockets. Joe hit him on the left rear while the car was up and knock the spring out of the pocket and it fell out on the front straight when he set the car down. Yes Mike is the one that spun us in 4 but that was after we'd lost the spring.

To let you all know Joe got the nick name "demoliton" from running in demo derby's before he started racing. Did not want you to get the wrong message from his nick name. I think Bohn would have finished good last night, but I the ruts in the track in turn 4 had something to do with his spin as well.

i saw what happened when francis hit bohn...very simple...he was racing just inside the same line john bohn was...with his nose just inside bohns left rear...happens 100 times a night...but this time francis' right rear hit the HUGE rut in turn 3 and it bounced his whole front end around towards the outside forcing him to hit john bohn with pretty great force. francis is not at all to blame for the track conditions and i think any driver could have had the same think happen to him...what happened on the last lap on the other hand i have no idea, but congrats to kasey burch on his 1st win.

ok giesler fan...yea joe races ruff sometimes....mikey showed joe a nose going into 1 then joe preceeds to try and cut him off....mikey stays in the gas because he has the prefered line!! simple as that!! but on another instance if this was joe doing this to someone you wouldnt be crying now would you????

geislerfan...

I'm sure Mike didn't mean to rub Joe and cause him to loose a spot. Just like last weekend when Joe hit Mike and Mike had to go to the back. It was a "Racing Incident" . Both drivers have raced @ several different tracks. These guys know that rubbin is racing and that is all that happened on Saturday.

I can see that there are alot of people rattled about what happened with Giesler and Francis but........WHAT ABOUT the Francis and Bohn deal???? By the looks of the first part of the race, I think John could have put the hurts to the rest of the pack. Where was the black flag???? If it would have been the other way around and John hit Francis, you can bet he would have seen the black flag!!!!

I think the only reason Mikey got into John was because of the way the car was handeling without the left rear spring. We were going to cut the tire down anyway unless it went green to checkered(NOT). We'll be back next week and hopefully get that win this year.

FearNone...

Just so you know Mike stopped and told the official in the corner to put John back in his spot. Mike didn't hit John on purpose. Mike went and talked to John about the incident and that is that.

First I know that Joe got the nickname Demo Joe from when he raced streetstocks at I-55 and won so many races that he was compared to the Demo on video games. My point is that all of you raise hell wanting over officiating when your guy gets hit, but if your guy gets into people you think there should be no call. Let the racers race, and if you or your favorite is real agressive,(and lot of my favorites are too) do not wine if the shoe gets put on the other foot. Too much compaining about rough driving that is accidental or questionable as to wreather it was rough or not casues over officating like Fredericktown had and SCFR had under past management, please do not complain until that happens.
