I know Mr. Klein was at the races this weekend somewhere, so if anyone talked to him, please update us on his health and on the rest of the year for him.

He was not at Belle Clair nor I-55. He is getting around, but he is sore. More than likely he will not race any more this season as it takes a long to time to heal.

I talked to Gary (son) on Saturday. That is what he told me.

Maybe he will be back next year, but I don't want Blanche to yell at me for saying that. No matter what we all wish Don to get well as soon as possible and when he feels up to it come to the race track.

Thanks for the reply. I thought Donnie would be there watching. Guess he is still pretty sore.

Well hope Donnie heals quickly. And I hope he returns to racing next year if he isn't able to get back in the car this year.
 
i was at his house last night drinking beer and he said he will be back in 2008 he his still sore but he will be at the track this weekend

Pretty cool that racing respects its elder racers. Even cooler that the old guys are doing so well. Donnie was fourth in points until the accident.

P/S I love old guys so dont rag at me for designating them as such! Old guys rule!

I was going to say, who's AK trying to kid here? He's an "old guy" himself, not even "almost old guy", but an "old guy".

I want to say to Dandy Don Klein -- you just get yourself healed up and back to racing strength as soon as you can, no matter when you come back to racing. I'm sure Blanche is taking really good care of you! She sure was worried about you!

I think Donnie & Blanche should get the "cute couple of the year" award! ;) Take care and see you soon. :D
 
OK, since my "friends" have pointed out that i am almost an old guy let me point out the difference between me and the other almost old guys listed. I cant drive a racecar worth a s***! I am glad we got that straight.
Also, Dan Dondero is either an "almost old guy" or at a minimum "pretty close to being an almost old guy."

Lots of experience in that top 10.

I can say from a close personal stand point. Dan Dondero is at the very least an "almost old guy."

He borders that line. He may be straddling it. :)

Being an OF, MYSELF, Thwere sure ia a lot of experience in that top ten, and A LOT OF GREAT DRIVING, wHICH I just wanted to thank you for GREAT RACING every Friday!!
io'M SURE GOING TO MISS SEEING YOU AND YOUR FELLOW DRIVERS COMPETE FOR THAT track championship, the last 7 weeks!!! Each class has drivers you find yoursels rooting for, and you're one that caught my fancy, although #88 in Puire Stocks will always have my heart!!!!:):):)
