DRESDEN, OH --- Race fans attending the season opener at the King Family’s Florence Speedway in Kentucky will have a chance to see one of the hottest dirt Late Model drivers in action as Donnie Moran will be in action at the highly-competitive Kentucky speedplant on Saturday April 5 for their season kickoff. Moran will follow that up with a trip back down south for two Xtreme Dirt Car Series sanctioned events at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC followed by a return trip to Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC, the scene of Moran’s most recent victory.
Moran drives the QPI Tools/Eddie’s Sunoco/Mastersbilt Race Cars/Carrera Shocks/Malcuit Racing Engines #99 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The Florence Speedway date is an unsanctioned, $2,000 to win event while the two Xtreme Dirt Car Series events will offer $10,000 to win for each race. Moran is particularly looking forward to each event, particularly Cherokee Speedway, the scene of his recent victory. Moran visited winner’s circle March 23 at the famed Cherokee Speedway for the $10,000 win in the 75-lap “1st Annual March Madness” main event sanctioned by the O’Reilly Auto Parts Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series. Moran currently sits fourth in Xtreme Dirt Car Series points.
