Don't understand some of the decisions tonight at I-55

Tony,
I'm sure if you ask most of the drivers that have been there most of the year, they would say it has been hammer down a lot more than it has been dry.

As much rain as they had, they weren't going to put a lot of water on it to keep it from getting rough.. Not to mention on Friday, before the rain, they rolled the track in and got it packed hard as they could so as much of the rain as possible would run off. Therefore allowing them to be able to race on Saturday (unlike many other tracks that couldn't because of the rain Friday).

The track became pretty racy and there was quiet a bit of passing throughout the field.

It amazes me that someone has always got to be complaining about different tracks and their conditions (especially when it rained 1 or 2 inches on Friday night)..

Be thankful you have several racetracks in this area to choose from.. Try going to some races in other parts of the country outside the Midwest, you'll be glad when you get back to these tracks![/QUOTE.

Been there done that jimmy, Florida speedweeks east bay, ocala volusia,.,Alabama short track for the ice bowl,Mississippi, west Virginia, north Carolina just to name a few out of the Midwest. But see these track Rework the track for the "fans" and drivers. If it weren't for the fans in the stands how would these racetracks make it? Your gonna have people complain about the track when it was like it was last night,I wasn't the only one disappointed last night, just voicing my opinion on here,if I ruffled some feathers it is what it is I guess. Oh and dirt hound nice YouTube video dude good racin there. I've been to my share of racetracks outside the Midwest jimmy, not my first rodeo.

My feathers aren't ruffled. But I don't think there was anything wrong with that track last night. It was slick top to bottom and there was some good racing.

he just wants to complain and moser you should 've been at lincoln park aka putnamville nice tacky track and they got over at 530 in the morning

Oh shut up everyone raced on the same track and had the same chance at the start of the night. So your driver lost big deal now you got all winter to cry about it.

I can't understand any gripping about the track. How could you water down a track at the beginning when the amount of rain closed Highland. I sit in turn 4 & been there times this year that you had to dodge the dirt clogs, because they watered it so much. I was just thrilled to have a place to go Sat. 140 some cars, wow is all you can say. The track did appear slick at the end but I think part of it was so many cars & races. When you see the Jimmy John's #12 show up you had to know a lot of tracks where closed or he just came down to get a feel for the track. Well I'd say he got a feel for it & congrads to the Show Stopper. Great race Ray!!!!!!!!!!

Weaver had been scheduled to be there anyway. I think most tracks were shutdown for the world 100. I'll take that slick track over a hammerdown track any day. It's usually a better race.

Like the one to put harrison up front after clearly not leading for an entire lap b4 a yellow? pretty sure i even saw spanky shakin his head on that one...great race by both drivers but defenitely a questionable call, prolly shouldve went to the guy who led the whole thing. jmo

Sorry, but you must not know the track's procedures. If the leader crosses the line, the lap is COMPLETE! It has been that way all season at I-55 and I know I heard Mike McGinnitey explain this over the PA on several occasions last night!

I wish they would have just lined Black and Harrison side by side for the restart. One of the best races for the win I've seen. Awesome job Jim and Mike!

Of course it couldnt be i55..according to you theyve never made a single mistake in the 5+ years ive been visiting this sight Jimmy.

Harrison and Black had a great race going up front. They swapped the lead several times. I think Black did lead at the line on the lap that the yellow came out but they went back to the last completed lap like all tracks do and that gave Harrison the lead. Great job by both drivers.

Whatever dude. It was the right call with their format.

Hard left, if you look at jimmy's pictures he was at the flagstand in the white flag lap. Harrison was in front.

Just so we are all clear... Look at the picture below. Flagman waving the white flag, light is GREEN... Caution comes out. These 2 cars have crossed the start/finish line. Lap is considered complete... Harrison was leading. Restart with Harrison out front with 1 lap remaining...
