Christy Lusk, 29, drives in the Hobby Stock class at Riverside Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. She is married to Anthony Lusk and works as a Radiology Technologist.
Christy’s father started racing the same year she was born, so she has been around racing her whole life. She uses the #16 because it was her softball number in high school and college. Also, because Joe Montana was #16. Of course, her father, Danny Moore has been her biggest influence in racing. When asked about her future plans with racing, Christy emphatically states, “To win more races!”

Her career highlight was winning her first feature at Riverside Speedway in West Memphis, Ark. in July 2002. She became the first woman to ever win a race there in the 54 years since it opened. Her scariest moment was her first night in a race car. She had to race with the Late Models at Harrisburg, Ark. She was in her hobby car running against guys like RichieTosh and Jeff Floyd. “They sounded like rockets when they passed me.”
Christy would like to add, “I always believed I would never get a chance to drive a race car. I just dreamed about it. And one day, thanks to my husband it all came together. I will never forget the memories we are making, so never give up on you’re dreams. Dreams Do Come True!”
