Drivers at Tri-City Aug. 1st?

I dunno Dixon has said all along he was racing the WoO race, but i dunno they have been using him for alot of publicity! I am sure alot of ppl would be pretty ticked if he wasnt there but you gotta do what you gotta do! I am almost positive Melvin will go to Mt.Vernon

you gotta be kiddin me. he raced allied for years and he was late model champ at tri city under both nascar and ump. he used to take mike wallace to school on that ol' half mile.
 
I saw Tim McCreadie race down in Florida in both the east coast modified and the late model, he can flat drive.

I live on the far east side of IL and have only been to Tri-City once. I will get my chance to see him Sunday, but unfortunately I might be too young to have heard much about him. When I was younger we always went to Haubstadt and for good reason winged sprints and late models every week. So most of the names I knew about were Ray Godsey, Ira Bastian, CJ Rayburn, Kevin Claycomb, Doug McCammon, and John Gill. Ed Dixon came every once in a while but that was about the extent of Stl area drivers I remember. I was more of sprint fan in those days as well.
