Drivers who 'win too much'

I'm not complaining. I'm just pointing out that someone always finds the right combination and rides on top of the field for awhile, and then things evolve and someone new comes along and replaces them. If your favorite driver is on top- enjoy it. If your favorite is not always carrying the checkers- hang in there.

Tri-City Speedway in the 80's was nothing but a runaway by Kevin Gundaker, Bo Smith and Mike Wallace. Dick Taylor was normally running fourth a half lap behind when one of the leaders would take out at least one of the other two. Occasionally they got challenged by guys like Kenny Walton and Gary Webb and Ron Hoover and the like.....

Stretching out away from STL area a bit, but there was a year at Little Springfield when Rick Standridge (yep, same one) won 12 features in one season.... I was there the night he won number 12. As he took the lead, literally 3/4 of the grandstands emptied out immediately....seems like he broke the track record that year as well....

How bout the king of bombers in the late 70's early 80's Charles "PeeWee" Morris he was usually unbeatable back in the day at every track he ran

Well said my friend!!!

What about john seets, there was a stretch at pevely i remember it seemed he won every race, i think it was 1994-95. And how can anyone forget "big" jim smith in his triple track street stock and in the limited sportsman. There's a bunch more i remember goin through streaks, but most of the other's have been mentioned.

Oh and i never hated on these drivers, just mentioning some who had hot streaks, i think it's great when a driver gets on a hot streak! Can't hate on winning, they gotta get there somehow and driving is usually the key. We should retitile the thread.
