PHENIX CITY, AL – The $2,500-to-win Salute To The Armed Forces 50 for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour on Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway has been postponed by rain and rescheduled for next Saturday night, June 5.

The $2,000-to-win American Freedom 40 scheduled for Sunday at New Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour has also been postponed by a 60 percent forecast of rain, and a make-up date will be announced in the coming days.

New Senoia Speedway officials have elected to monitor the weather for Sunday, and may run a regular weekly show tomorrow. They will make a decision by 12 noon on Sunday and announce it on their web site at www.newsenoiaraceway.com.

With the EAMS rainout, officials at Penton Raceway in Penton, AL have rescheduled the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour $2,000-to-win Stars And Stripes 40 for this Friday night, June 4. That event was rained out last night, and originally rescheduled for June 18, but with the EAMS rainout, the scheduling worked out better to run the two races as a double-header next weekend.

The “Ride For Life” with the two-seat dirt late model to benefit the local chapter of the American Cancer Society has also been rescheduled at East Alabama Motor Speedway for Saturday night, June 5.

East Alabama Motor Speedway fans will get an opportunity to be a part of the high-speed action, as the NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS “Ride For Life” two-seat dirt late model will be at EAMS on Saturday night, June 5 and fans will able to bid for a six-lap ride at race speed with their favorite driver with the proceeds benefiting the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.

Driver donating their time and talent to give six lucky fans the “Ride For Life” to benefit the American Cancer Society are William Thomas, Chase Edge, Richie Stephens, Larry Harrod, Dana Eiland and Terrance Nowell.
