(Paducah, KY) Dale Earnhardt Jr., driver of the Dale Earnhardt Incorporated Budweiser #8 Chevrolet and Co-Owner of Paducah International Raceway will miss the Bryant Law Center NASCAR Night presented by C-Plant Federal Credit Union.

Earnhardt who is currently sitting in the 14th position in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Standings has had 5 DNF’s (Did Not Finish) with four of those finishes attributed to engine failure. With the cutoff to the NEXTEL Cup Chase at the 12th position, Dale Earnhardt Incorporated has requested Dale Earnhardt Jr. to participate in a 2-day test session at the Iowa Speedway on August 21 and 22, 2007. With just 5 races remaining to get into the top 12 in points and continue on in the chase for the championship, it is important for Dale Jr. and all of the DEI drivers to give the test their full attention as the engineers from DEI try to overcome the engine troubles of recent weeks.

NASCAR Drivers confirmed and scheduled to race on Bryant Law Center NASCAR Night presented by C-Plant Federal Credit Union include 2-time NASCAR Champion and PIR Co-Owner Tony Stewart in his Bass Pro Shops #20, PIR Co-Owner Ken Schrader in his Big Baron #99 Late Model, Clint Bowyer, Driver of the Richard Childress Racing #07 Jack Daniels Chevrolet, and Speed TV host Kenny Wallace with his JEG’s Late Model. Bowyer will be running his #07 Late Model against the other NASCAR drivers and the best of the locals including Randy Korte who mixed it up with Tony Stewart at the last NASCAR Night event at PIR. Tickets are still available for the event by calling 270-898-SHOW (7469). Tickets to see all of the attending NASCAR drivers compete are just $25 for Adults and Kids 12 and under are just $5.

Fans attending the special Tuesday night race at PIR will have the opportunity to register to qualify to have a chance to win a 2007 Chevy Silverado Pickup truck courtesy of Chevy Racing, Paducah International Raceway and Cache River Chevrolet. The final drawing for the truck will take place on Friday September 7, 2007 weather permitting.
Paducah International Raceway, 4-Rivers Harley-Davidson, and Withers Broadcasting will also be drawing the name of a lucky race fan for the one-of-a-kind Harley Davidson Street Bob autographed by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, and Ken Schrader. The drawing will take place during intermission.

NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006. The 3/8th mile high banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights, The USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge. Paducah International Raceway races every Friday night and is located off Interstate-24 at exit 11 in Paducah, Kentucky.
