TULSA, Okla. (January 2, 2007) – East Bay Raceway Park will be the site of the first major "traditional" Sprint Car event of the 2007 season, as the O'Reilly Sprint Bandits Tour 'n Topless series takes to the semi-banked, 1/3-mile dirt oval as part of the track's 31st Annual Winter Nationals.

The wingless warriors will take to the track for preliminary events on Monday, January 29, and Wednesday, January 31, before wrapping up the topless triple with a $10,000 to win affair on Friday night, February 2.

Last year, the O'Reilly Sprint Bandits TNT series brought 410-ci, wingless Sprint Car racing back to Florida for the first time in a quarter of a century and the fans were not disappointed.

After Indiana's Brady Short won the opening preliminary event, California's Cory Kruseman held off a hard-charging Roger Rager to top the second preliminary event. The next night, Kruseman fought off a late bid from Daron Clayton, who like Rager had charged from deep in the field, to capture the $10,000 winner's share.

Kruseman's triumph came over a stout field of more than 50 entries.

More of the same is expected this around, as the nation's top wingless Sprint Car shoes will descend upon the Tampa oval at the end of this month.

The O'Reilly Sprint Bandits TNT event also serves as the second portion of the Fast Lane Apparel Triple Crown Challenge, which kicks off with the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour "King of the 360's" Nationals on January 25-27 and concludes with the winged 410-ci Sprint Cars on January 30, February 1 and February 3. A $50,000 bonus is up for grabs for the driver that can win all three final events.

Topping all three portions of the Triple Crown Challenge would net a driver a minimum of at least $80,000, not including preliminary night winnings.

East Bay Raceway Park is located off I-75 Exit 250, then two miles west, then 1.2 miles north on US 41, then right 1.3 miles on Old US 41, then right on Burts Rd. For more information, contact the track at 813-677-7223 or 1-877-457-5611.
