East Bay Pre-Entries Piling up – 57 All Star Sprints Entered

CAMARGO, IL – Driver entries are filling up the mailbox at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton (Tampa) Florida for the 27th annual East Bay Winternationals February 12-15, 2003. The event is sanctioned by the All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Haulmark Race Trailers.

Drivers from 18 states and Canada are pre-entered so far. Leading the list is defending All Star points champion Chad Kemenah from Findlay, OH in the Harble Motorsports No. 15K. Other Buckeye state entries include Dean Jacobs, Byron Reed, Ed Neumeister, Nick Naber, Jim Nier, Chuck Waddell, Randy Fink, Gary Edwards, Barry Ruble, Hud Horton and Dale Blaney.

Leading the way from the Keystone State are drivers Lance Dewease, Fred Rahmer, Greg Hodnett, Kevin Frey, Mike Erdley, Ed Lynch, Jr., Rod George, Brent Matus and Mike Lutz. Indiana is represented by Randy Hannigan, Kelly Kinser, Tom Busch, Curt Trainer, Raymond Shank, Terry Pletch, Paul McMahan, Jeff Heerdink and Johnny Johnson.

Other notable entries include Chad Meyer (SD), Doug Day (GA), Johnny Herrera (MN), Kenny Adams (FL), Shane Stewart (OK), Ryan Coniam (Canada), Craig Dollansky (MN), Danny Lasoski (MO), Gary Wright and Travis Rilat (TX), Donny Schatz (N.D.), Terry McCarl (IA), Jason Johnson (WI), Billy Pauch (NJ), Ben Rutan (MI), Larry Lapoint (CO) and Jeff Shepard (MD).

The East Bay Winternationals, running from Wed. Feb. 12 to Sat. Feb. 15 will pay $4,000 to the winner on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with Saturday’s 50-lap final paying $15,000 to win.

The All Star 2003 season opens at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville (Daytona) on Thursday Feb. 6 and runs at Volusia for four straight nights culminating on Sunday night Feb. 9.

“America’s Series, The All Star Circuit of Champions” will present a slate of 80 sprint car race dates in 2003 from February to October in action at 34 speedways in 21 states. America’s favorite dirt track series is in its’ 23rd year and has presented fans with the largest average car count and greatest number of different race winners in the United States over the past two decades.
