This may sound dumb but is there any difference in the cars one ump and one imca or is it just the sanctioning body

YES! LOL!!!

UMP and IMCA are just sanctioning bodies… So technically the racecars are not different… BUT both organizations have their own set of rules. There can be a lot of difference in the parts and tires hanging on the cars between the two.

that would be for a b mod Ump amods are 4 barrel

Imca mods,stock cars,and hobby cars require 1 3/4" tubing on the main cage where as some other sanctioning bodys do not.
