DIRT NATION Hosts Special UMP Show
Saluda, VA --- DIRT NATION, sponsored by Virginia Motor Speedway and Dirt America Online, and one of the fastest growing and most popular weekly racing radio programs broadcast over the world wide web, will host a special two-hour program on Monday February 2 devoted to the United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) organization. DIRT NATION is hosted each week by dirt Late Model racing’s own Rat Pack, Dave Seay, Brian Tidball and Doc Lehman and airs every Monday evening from 8:00 – 10:00 PM EST and can be accessed over the internet at: www.racetalklive.com
For the upcoming February 2 broadcast DIRT NATION will welcome UMP’s Bob Sargent, Ed Dixon, Craig Cowen and Bob Lawton. UMP will kick off its 2004 season at Volusia Speedway Park February 9 – 14.
Bob Sargent is the COO of UMP and Track Enterprises. Sargent is a well-known industry leader and successful promoter. Ed Dixon is a National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame inductee and the only three-time UMP National Champion. Craig Cowen is UMP’s new Director of Operations and previously spent 20 years working for Hoosier Racing Tire. Bob Lawton is a well-known Midwestern promoter at racetracks in Boone and Marshalltown Iowa.
UMP was formed in 1983 by Bob Memmer who remains active with the organization. Ken Schrader is also a partner in the ownership of the organization.

On Monday February 23 DIRT NATION will host a special “Young Guns II” featuring Justin Allgaier, Jeremy Clements and Matt Henderson.
