Ed Dixon?

Did Ed go to trial yet? Last I heard it was set for like 12-9-2010. That case number disappeared out of the case# system. Looks like Ed has a couple of serious issues to deal with. Good luck Ed!
 
All Charges from that case were dropped, my father was an innocent bystander of something an employee had done.
 
I am still in North Carolina, and I have left the pitiful world of Nascar. I am working on getting a position as a professional firefighter, have made the hiring list for Concord FD, and expect to hear from Statesville FD in January. Otherwise I am starting at Kewaunee Scientific Corp. next Tuesday. Hope everyone has a great Christmas!
 
Good luck with that Danny NC is a great place to be, Lots of chances and open doors in that town. Maybe some day you can do some part time work with NASCAR as an EMT/Fire fighter at a race. That sounds like a cool job. Have a safe Christmas

Actually Ed is scheduled to go to trial on 1/20/11 on those charges
I like Ed as much as any body does
I have known him since the mid 70's
What I dont like is misinformation
 
That is correct, court has now been scheduled and charges were refiled. The truth will be out once court is done. And for your info tnlprt the original charges were dropped, it was not misinformation. It was dropped and then refiled. People should not assume things, he is an innocent man, this will all come out in the end! He had a crooked employee that really messed things up.

Like I said I first met him in the mid 70's
when him and your Grand dad Mel were running Chrysler Power

In our court system you are assumed innocent until proven otherwise
But the overzealous Prosecutors will try and bankrupt you before you go to trial
so that maybe he can get a guilty plea from you

The misinformation part comes from you posting that all the charges have been dropped
2 days after they were refiled and the warrant was issued

In this day and age you can find out just about any thing about most everybody


When people post information that is known to to be untrue
They damage their own reputation as far as to what is believable the next time they post something

Like I said I am not here to slam Ed
I wish him the best possible outcome
 
Why in the H^ll is this being talked about on here, leave the man alone! Its his personal life, who cares! Lets talk racin about all the good times where Ed came from the back to win a feature. stuff like that! Jimmy Dearing, im really to the point where im losing respect for you to let people go on and on about this and not erasing this thread, its a bunch of bs, I miss Ed being out there, I know he"s going threw alot, cut him some slack, quit letting peoples personal life be exposed on a RACING board......this isn"t CNN News or Fox 2 (You paid for it) Im tired of reading this Sh*T! Merry Christmas!

Agree 100%. All these jack-asses on here posting about someone elses personal life need to use some better morality and maybe learn some humility. Ed Dixon has UNDOUBTEDLY accomplished worlds more than ANYONE on this board and doesnt deserve to be smeared on it. Jmo
 
To me its still mind boggling how good that guy was/is, how many features he won, how many times he came from dead last to pass every single car on the track to win, and im sure we've actually seen him do it twice during the same race on multiple occasions, and just for how long that he was the most dominant in our area. wish i had all the money people like me won betting our buddies on him at the races. :)
 
Look dude, I posted that the day dad got his letter saying all charges were dropped and no further was expected on the case, I posted the truth of what I knew, I can't help they refiled, dad just found out yesterday as well. Glad you can keep such good tabs on something that has nothing to do with you. Hope everyone has a great Christmas with their family! Do me a favor and leave mine alone! I would like to spend a peaceful trip to Missouri with them!
