electric tear off machines

Cuz if you get a lot of big dirt on the screen, the electric motor doesn't have enough power to keep pulling them across. Usually end up with mud caked on the scraping blade.

I've also seen one go haywire before and reel out the entire spool. The driver had a tail behind his car about 40 feet long. I guess when somebody ran over it or it caught one something, his head got a good jerk.

You can also buy a lot of tear offs for the $500 price tag.

looks like an oversized camera film motor for rewinding camera film, remember that film that was on a roll, mess up and open the latch on the camera and ya ruined it and lost all your pics, the good ole days lol

I can't speak first hand because I've never used them. In a modified or latemodel you try and sit so low in them now a days that unless the track is super heavy you really don't get much dirt in the face.

I did notice that this company has a system to mount in-front of a GoPro camera that you program to cycle every so many seconds, now that could come in handy!

You see these used in the CORR trophy truck series and they seem to work fairly well, and them guys are always getting a face full! I have also seen some of them guys starting to use motorcycle type visors on their full face helmets. This allows you to dip your head when you see a roost coming.

That kind of thing usually boils down to poor attention to detail when wiring your car. I have seen allot of cars over the years drop out of a race because of a half-***** electrical connection. Thats why on my car you will only find water-tight switches, soldered connections and heat-shrink with the glue inside all to keep the pressure-washer water out.

Have you seen the price of laminated tear-offs? Its outrageous, and the worst thing is that once you use them its hard to go back to the old non-laminated style!
