The Doe Run Raceway is in need of an Announcer for the 2012 Racing Season. If you are interested, please contact Bobby, or me (Mike Helvey) and i'll give you a run-down and info. If you have never done it, "don't be skeered"... (I will help you out the first couple races of the season until you are comfortable with it). There's nothing to it. It is what you make it. You can have a ton of fun with it. If you HAVE done it, you know what i'm talking about.

**And to clear up any rumors, my decision to call it quits has nothing to do with the track, nor any of the track personnel. DRR is my 2nd family, and Bobby is a great friend who has always been there for me and my family. I LOVE announcing and have a great time doing it, but it's time to spend my summers with the kids camping, floating, traveling, etc. They're only young once. I've grown up around this dirty sport (started going to Empire in a car-seat in 1982 and spent every summer at the races since then) and I don't want my kids to say the same if that's not what they want to do. So if you've heard otherwise, you're getting false information.
