Engine Info???

Hi, me and my friend are wanting to go racing next year. We are both 16, and we do have secure jobs at truck repair shops. We both go to Junkyard Raceway every week, and i even helped scored last week with Skip. So my friend happend to score a 97 Twister chassis, less engine and tires. So since i have built a couple fun kart engines, we were thinking that i build the engines and tune the chassis and he does the racing, since iam a big boy. My question is that i have a extra Briggs IC block that has the spring pokets cut, and the oil hole drilled to the PTO side. I was thinking about a 94-SS cam, COMP .330 valve kit, new OEM Valves, ARC billet rod. Since he will be racing in Mediums, what piston would work the best? And would a Flojet carb with 2in. spacer work??? ANY info on building a couple competive engines would be GREATLY Appriciated!!!

stock motor cam lift is 233 a 94ss has to much lift

use a 96-3 cam and you will be very happy
