Drivers, Sanction Officials, Publishers Join The ‘Rat Pack’

Dirt Nation presented by Switchme.net will present a virtual plethora of professionals on hand for the Monday night broadcast as the ‘Rat Pack’ will welcome two dirt Late Models stars, a couple sanction officials and the publisher and editor of one of dirt Late Model racing’s top publications. All five will be joining the ‘Rat Pack’ for the November 15, 2004 edition. Jim Wilson, founder and President of the wildly successful WORLD Dirt Racing League (WDRL) will be on hand along with WDRL Announcer & Marketing Director Tom Lathen. Wilson & Lathen will discuss the series’ rapid rise to prominence and their ultra-successful 2004 season. The WDRL played across the Midwest to packed pits and full grandstands that found rising star Brady Smith capture the WDRL Championship title as well as the Rookie of the Year honors.

Popular Midwest star Dennis Erb, a second-generation powerhouse based in Carpentersville, IL will be a featured guest. Erb’s season consisted of an incredible 94 races with 16 wins, including, among others, the $10,000 to win Prairie Dirt Classic, the $15,000 to win UMP Challenge of Champions Extravaganza and the $8,000 to win Northern AllStar Late Model Series (NALMS) finale. He finished second in the NALMS point standings despite skipping several events. The Dirt Nation Weekend Warrior of the Week will be Jason Feger, a two year dirt Late Model racer out of Bloomington, IL will be spotlighted. Feger, coming off a popular win at Macon Speedway in Illinois the end of September, drives the Griffin Design Custom Painted Helmets, LaBamba Mexican Restaurants, Creative Kitchens & Baths, Bairds Auto Care Center, Jay’s Lawncare, NTA Truck Accessories Mastersbilt Smackdown/Mulvain Motorsports Engines #25.

Also joining the line-up of special guests Monday night will be Sam Holbrooks, Publisher & Editor of the highly acclaimed weekly racing publication BEHIND THE WHEEL. Based in Fayetteville, TN, BEHIND THE WHEEL in one of dirt Late Model racing’s premier weekly publications featuring national, regional and local coverage and the sport’s top reporters, columnists and photographers.
