Fulton, MS (11/22/09) – After a couple of weeks away from the track Eric Cooley returned to action over the weekend at Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, Alabama, and came away with a solid, fifth place finish to show for his efforts.
Cooley Motorsports traveled to Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, Alabama over the weekend for a $5,000 to win, unsanctioned Crate Late Model event. With 31 entries on hand, Eric qualified 4th fastest in his #33c Cooley Transport/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer Crate Late Model in his group in group qualifications on Friday night to earn the fourth starting position for his heat race, where he charged to a second place finish.
Via his heat race finish, Eric locked into the 8th starting position for Saturday night's finale. During the course of the event at the lightning fast, 3/8 mile oval, Cooley charged to a 5th place finish. Full results are available at www.GreenValleySpeedway.com.
Eric’s next slated event will be the 9th Annual Possum Town Grand Prix at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on November 27th-28th. Cooley, who is the 2009 NeSmith National Late Model Series Champion, will take part in the NeSmith Crate Late Model portion of the show in his #33c Cooley Motorsports/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer Crate Late Model.
