Eric Jacobsen to quit racing

Eric Jacobsen who frequently hits man Nationals events is ending his racing career. The California native who operated his racing program out of east Tennessee had already been forced to go to a part time racer. His business and family obligations requiring him to constantly fly back and forth between California and Tennessee along with traveling to race is not letting him focus on his business and family as needed.
 
Bummer, but understandable! I remember a few years ago he was giving out strawberrys the size of an apple! Gonna miss the earthquakes!!
 
Eric is a Great Guy, has helped a lot of other racers as well!
Going to miss him coming thru from time to time!!
 
I'm not saying he wasn't a nice guy.. We built hauler for him at ultra comp. Seemed nice.. Just pointing out some facts.. Birky was a loss to competiton. Brady Smith eghhhh kinda. We don't need to be losing late model drivers no matter who they are.
 
I don't know him from Adam. I just hate to see anybody leave the sport we love. Good competitor or not he was spending lots of money for the sport .
