I noticed that the points are updated on the track website but there is an error on the sprint points. Would someone be able to double check or refigure the sprint points or maybe someone who keeps track on there own let me know what they have. Thank you! I would really appreciate it!

Sure would be happy to check, to assist in norrowing our search would you mind saying which driver you feel has the error.

Thank you.

After a quick check I found that a typo was made on the # of points Jimmy Hurley had, that has been corrected.

Was that what you found?

Thats the one I thought was wrong, I just seen how Steve Short had 248 & Hurley had 240 but was shown in 2nd. Also so that I know for the future, I would like to make sure that I have the points system correct.
Heats you get 8 for 1st, 6 for 2nd & so down
Dash 4 for 1st, 3 for 2nd & so down
Feature 50 for 1st, 48 for 2nd & so down.
Please let me know if this correct & thanks for your prompt answer.

Thanks for pointing that out for us, didn't catch it when transfering it from the spreadsheet to the website.

The heats you have correct
The Dash is 6, 4, and 2
The Feature you have correct

Did the 21 car get scored ahead of the 28 car after the wreck two weeks ago???? If so how did that happen? Thanks!

Well one would have to assume that this happened, since we never got an answer. Wouldnt it be best to show all the haters out there that this didnt happen and try to put some of this special treatment toward select drivers to rest. Rather than hide out and avoid the tough questions like did the 21 get scored ahead of the 28 after the wreck... If your not doing dirty deals this type thing makes you look like you are. :(

Yes

You would have to ask the track officials how they determined the finishing order, that is how the results came into the business office from the tower. I am sure one of the scorers would be happy to explain how they arrived at this decision if you ask them, if you do, please ask before or after the races or during intermission they are extremely busy during the races.

Thank you.

Many posts made here on STLRacing are made in an effort to stir the pot by anonymous users. The track feels that these types of posts are non productive and shouldn't be answered. The track does not wish to "help" stir any pot, nor get into a contest with its patrons. So any post that is borderline subjective will most likely go unanswered by SFCRACEWAY.

True, legitimate complaints, comments and suggestions are always welcome, but often best delivered face to face. Many times typed words lack expression and can be misconceived where in a face to face conversation both parties can express themselves clearly.

No pot stir here, just asked a simple question

Lack of expression??? It was a real simple question direct and to the point. I heard on this board that the 21 was scored ahead of the 28. Knowing how things are on here, I asked the question point blank because I was sure it was "misconceived" A later post pointed out the fact that there are many times the track gets beaten up for questionable actions, I then pointed out that if these people were wrong you could shut them up with the cold hard facts that this didnt happen. But you have confirmed they were right. HOW DID THE TRACK COME TO THIS DECISION? IT APPEARED THE 28 WAS REAR ENDED BY THE 21 RESULTING IN THE WRECK. REAL SIMPLE QUESTIONS HERE FOLKS JUST LOOKING FOR ANSWERS

Ok, I'll try to explain it in a way everyone can understand. Before I do however, I want to point out that we were not hiding out from anyone. But, sometimes no matter what you do or how you do it, there are those who believe what they want to believe and when the posts start getting a little heated, sometimes its best just to let the situation die.

So keeping that in mind, heres a lesson in scoring 101:

Yes, the 21 was scored ahead of the 28.

Why? You go back to the last completed lap...yes the 28 was ahead of the 21 on the last completed lap.

Let me finish before you start jumping to conclusions ok?

When you score cars that are involved in wrecks or yellows, you always put the car that is ahead in the back. Example: car 1, 2 and 3 are involved in a wreck/spin whatever. The last completed lap, the cars are scored 2, 1 and 3 across the line. All 3 cars are sent to the back in this order 3, 1 and 2.

Basically when a car is involved in a wreck and you have to put them on the back or they leave the track because they can no longer compete because of the wreck, you reverse the running order. DISCLAIMER: This does not apply to cars that pull out on their own or with mechanical issues. Only when a yellow or red is thrown.

This has been done this way for years. I was taught this way some 20 years ago.

And honestly, I don't see Jason here complaining about it. He knows us well enough to know how its done. He also knows if he comes to us and asks us, we'll explain it to him. I also sincerely hope Jason gets back in a car as I've watched him race for a long, long time and it will certainly be a great loss to the track if he's not out there.

Now, I've said all I'm going to say on the Jason, Joey subject. If you have any other questions, you know where to find us. As was posted earlier, please do not burst through the door during the races, we won't have time to talk to you.
