hey all,

I'm thinking of turning my car into a hornet when I get a new one...

I'd be racing at highland

You think it's a good choice?

91 escort gt
1.8L DOHC factory specs say 125 hp, torque somewhere near that
automatic (manual not even an option for the gt, strange no?)
First gear will go to 45 before the auto makes it shift (about 6500, 500 under redline)
Gear selector has low, drive, and overdrive. Unfortunately, low is first only.
15 in rims stock.

Anything else you need to know to tell me if I should even bother?
Thanks.

Well, it depends on you really. If your getting into racing because you just cant stand sitting in the stands any more, then build it and race it, have some fun and get an idea what it takes to do it. But, if the only reason you want to race (like some folks) is so you can act like your some kinda bigshot, and the only thing you really care about is bragging about how you won the weekend before, or have the fastest car or whatever, then dont, cause it is highly unlikely your going to have a dominant package with what you have got.
