Just a quick question.....How can you run Fredericktown on May 1st with Belleville running a regular night show the same night? To me that really isn't fair in case there were belleville guys that were going to run the extreme series too. I thought that the only extreme shows held were on nights when other tracks weren't running? I think there may be one other night ton the schedule like that but thats it. Not trying to stir any pots just wondering.

In a good note though thanks for what you have put together for us sportsman drivers. Pretty nice to have a little series of our own. Although i don't think i will be able to run every one of these shows i still think it is great that you are doing this again. Thanks Dean!!

There was a lot of interest in running a race at Fredericktown and I felt that the only way we could do it was on a Friday night, it's a pretty good haul for a lot of teams and there is no way we could do a mid week show and get a good car count. Considering the series will probably pay close to 3 times more to win than any track championship will pay I guess it's up to the individual to decide what they want. I will continue to try and schedule races on other tracks off nights but sometimes it may not be feasible.

It is called "Risk vs. Reward".....

The racer has to decide what is best... points at their local track or points in the Extreme Dirt Sportsman Challenge Series?? "Risk vs. Reward"

As for the tracks, they might lose a few cars on that one night to the Extreme Dirt Sportsman Challenge Series, but they will most likely gain multiple times that many cars when they have their own Extreme Dirt Sportsman Challenge Series race. Again, "Risk vs. Reward".

All in all it is a good deal for all involved!

Thanks for the replies.....Yeah i see your point with not being able to really do a mid week show and what not b/c of the distance. And there would probably only be a couple belleville guys that would go to that show regardless.

And for the Risk vs. Rewards. Good point there too. Some will go with the risk and some will go with the rewards.....Just depends on the person as you stated. Unfortunately i will not be able to attend all the nights so a points race is out of the question with me.

Good Luck to all this year!!!

Tom

This series is great for the sportsman class. Look forward to a good car count down at fredericktown.

IF it all goes well, is there a possibility that one of those open dates might go to Fredericktown?

Thanks

What a great schedule and series. I see that the Sportman will be at Tri-City Sept 24th and thats a Thrusday night. What's the possiblity adding Sept 25th date at Belleville. The weekend before is season championship. So its not a points night there.

Sportsmans run for points even on the last night at Belleville even though they ran there championship the previous week. Weird i know but thats the way that they have done it for as long as i can remember.

I haven't seen Lake Ozark Speedways schedule yet but that May 24th date could make for a nice memorial day weekend at the lake for the xtreme sportsman series.

I'll go....

i think the schedule looks good, it would be cool to see another new track on there, like mt vernon, paducah or calvert city. I hope the schedule stays the way it is in september so I can still go to Enid and only miss the practice night. It is unfortunate I wont be able to really run for the championship at belleville and the extreme series though. Why arent there any races conflicting between highland and pevely so that those drivers have to make a decision or sacrifice also? not a big deal though
