Fairbury reschedules Prairie Dirt Classic on top of I55's Pepsi Nationals on Sept. 15th...

Running on Sunday would make a lot more sense for them. Lots of game and drivers from up there come down here for the nationals.

Fairbury tried Sunday last year... They had nobody who was at I55 show up. Pevely regulars don't ever head to FALS. Fans also do not travel much more than 2 hours to a race on days they work the next morning. FALS did what was best for them. Being a sma farming community, prolonging the season into harvest hurts them as well. It's best to just get it ran ASAP. Hope the best for both places, as they are two of my favorite tracks.

this is silly up there you will have mostly local and regional cars at the pepsi nationals you will have local, regional, and national cars they are hurting their own self.

They did not reschedule it "on top" of I55. They rescheduled for the 15th of Sept. It's really the only day they had open. Sunday's really don't work. Do you not think that they have jobs to go to, kids to get to school etc. It is a farming community. They have a crop to harvest, ground to work, equipment to repair, contracts to meet, etc. Geez, I'm sure you "slickers" think your food comes from a grocery store! LOL!

AND they have all the track equipment to winterize in their spare time!

time!

AND they have all the track equipment to winterize in their spare time I'm sure thats really on their mind lol with that being said early fall races can be b@tch to reschedule

Didn't I55 and WoO reschedule the April show that got rained out on top of the Queen's Royale at Farmington? They didn't reschedule it to 10/6 until the middle of August. And that's a track that's only 40ish miles versus the 200+ to Fairbury.

It's unfortunate that fans and drivers have to choose between two big races within a few hours but this late in the year there are limited opportunities to reschedule.

Just my opinion, I don't have a dog in this fight--I've had Spoon River circled on my calendar that night for quite a while to watch MOWA and POWRi.

well said. I'm tired of jd ****in up to I55 a** all the time like its the greatest track in stl area, when every real race fan knows its tri city. come jd stop slanting your post to make everyone think someone is pickin on poor ray/kenny. The race is 4 hours away.

getinit.. TriCity may have more bigger shows and so on, but i55's racing is still the best anywhere! TriCity is good, but still not as consistently good as i55!

That's funny.. I usually get blamed for being a Tri-City Speedway promoter... I just posted what I saw.. Did they not reschedule on the same date as I-55?

It really is going to make things interesting. I imagine most of those guys will come down to BC for $10k to win the night before. It would be nice to jaunt on over to Pevely the next night, but no one will want someone to cherry pick the $10k up for grabs at Fairbury.

I would bet it comes down to who has run better where in the past.
Stinks they are on the same day, but I can see Fairbury's point.
