Top 3 to the Feature

Thats all they had for now!! Enjoy!! :D

Sportsman results?

Do you have any Sportsman results so far? Jimmy is racing there tonight and hasn't called me yet. Thanks. :D

All 3 made the feature. I think Manville started 3rd, Zobrist near the middle and Korte on the tail for changing cars. Korte ran about 2 laps and pulled to the infield to watch the rest of the race. The track was pretty rough and it didn't look like he liked it.

hey bomber momma what was your family doing up there jimmy came on the track and I said what the heck he did ok being 300 lbs heavy and allied motor good race very organized and and very racy and tacky track they watered all day long, strange layout but great track praire dirt classic in september

Hey dirthound!

Did you miss me? I don't go on "road trips" with the guys just because! I went to Belleville Friday night and did Jr. Fan Club and just enjoyed the peace and quiet around here on Saturday night!

Jimmy said he finished 10th on Friday night at Farmer City and then he was 12th on Saturday night at Fairbury. He said he 2 was "outmotored" by those guys up there, but they both enjoyed the trip. Bruce told me he talked to two of my friends up there! You and Danny! I didn't know I was so popular! ;) :D

Here Some Pics From There You Might Need To To Magnify Some Of The Pics To Get The Whole Story

Thanks dirthound!

Now I can do a "Fairbury Road Trip" page in the Sportsman, Volume II scrapbook for Jimmy. I can see it now.....

I'll have to bring them to the track to show everyone, but I'll need help carrying them! Let's see...there's "Bomber, 1998-2000", then "Sportsman--Volume I, 2001-2005", and "Sportsman--Volume II, 2006-....", and finally "Modified, 2006". I know, I'm crazy! ;)

Did you notice the seats had blankets taped to the bleachers. Not a soul in sight... I know they all were not out tailgating :D

Yes, I noticed that too! Where were they?

Last week some people behind me at Pevely taped a blanket to the top row behind me and NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP THERE. Do you think it was just to keep me farther away from them?

Debbie you come sit by me. We'd love to have you in the neighborhood... After all that is where all the action is anyway LOL!!!!!! :D

dirthound!

I had to read that about 3 times to get what you were trying to say. Could you try to use punctuation?

dirthound said:

Actually, dirt girl, they are. It's called "the run of the blankets". At about 7:00 a.m., kinda silly. Got my seat 3 rows from the top about 3:00 p.m. The back straight is the party area; the front straight is not great racing, but is set up strangely.

Is that what you meant? Or, do you mean that the rows down closer to the racing track are taken first, and the higher "cleaner" seats are the last to go? That's crazy!

Bruce just told me that he heard a lot of "booing" there, not just for the summer national guys, but for the locals too! He thought it was excessive! Of course, they didn't "boo" my Jimmy at all. ;) :D
