The Farmer City Raceway will kick off the racing season this Friday, April 2, 2004. April 2nd will include a full night of racing action with UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Sportsmen, and Street Stock.

We had a practice day on Sunday with over 100 cars in the pits getting ready for the season to begin. The track has been prepared from the winter break and is ready for some racing action. The weather forecast is for sunny skies on Friday with a high in the middle 50's, looks like the rain has moved out for the week!

There are several special events planned for the 2004 season at the Farmer City Raceway. The first special event will be the UMP Challenge of Champions on April 30th. The 4 cyl. Hornets will start their season on May 7th. Ken Schrader will be in town on Tuesday, May 18th. June 4th, RC Cola will host the UMP Tri-Track Challenge for the UMP Late Models which pays $10,000 to win the feature event. The UMP Summer Nationals Series will make its annual stop at the Farmer City Raceway on July 9th. The USAC & MARA midgets will be racing on the fast ¼ mile in Farmer City on August 20th. These are only a few of the special events that the Farmer City Raceway has scheduled for the 2004 season.

Gates open at 5:00 PM, time trials are at 7:00 PM, with racing action to begin at 7:30 PM.
