Farmer City Raceway Releases Busy 2004 Schedule

The Farmer City Raceway has released its 2004 schedule. The schedule includes several special races for the upcoming season. The Farmer City Raceway will be racing every Friday night, April thru August, every month as full of racing excitement as the next!

There will be an open practice on Sunday, March 28, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.

The season opener is scheduled for Friday, April 2 with a full show of racing that will include the UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Sportsman and Street Stock. April 30, the UMP Challenge of Champions Series will make their annual stop for an exciting night of racing. This seasons Hornet debut will be May 7. The annual Scout Night will be May 14. Tuesday, May 18, NASCAR star Ken Schrader will be in town racing his UMP Late Model - which will also be the first of three qualifying nights for the Sportsman cars for the Wynn’s Sportsman Nationals held on the Mile in Springfield. There will be a Memorial Day Modified Special on May 28. RC Cola the “Official Soft Drink of the Farmer City Raceway” will host the Tri-Track Challenge on June 4 with a $10,000 to win UMP Late Model feature. The Illinois-Missouri Sprint Challenge will attack the ¼ mile on Thursday, June 17. The month of July will get started with a bang on July 2 with a Huge fireworks display. The UMP Summernationals Series will be in full swing on July 9, when they make their annual stop in Farmer City bringing the nations top Late Model drivers to town.

Wednesday, July 21 will be the 7th Annual Dick Andrae Memorial with the AMA Motorcycles invading the raceway. August 13 is Illinois Speedweek featuring the Northern Allstars Late Models. The USAC & MARA Midgets will be in action on August 20, which brings the regular racing season to a close. The Farmer City Raceway will hold a two-day special event featuring the Northern Allstars Late Model Championship on September 24 & 25.
