The experienced old veterans are really feeling the heat of the young guns at Farmer City Raceway. Eric Smith ran down and passed Roger Long as Long used his patented high groove a bit too high and slipped off the track Friday night. Long recovered, and tried to pass Smith for the lead, but to no avail. Smith won, Long was second, with Jr Shickel, Mike Mullvain and Mark Anderson filling out the top five. Sixth through tenth were Bart Schwartz, Donnie Waldon, Chris Dick, Don Hammer and Erik Bruce. The fast time went to Smith, as for the third week in a row, fast timer won the feature. Youngster Donnie Waldon outraced Roger Long and Mark Anderson for the checkered flag in the Dash. Heats went to Corey Rolfe, Roger Brickler, and Tony Izzo Jr. Flip Shickel won the semi over Erik Bruce.
Jimmy Felker Jr won the sportsman feature in a tough battle over Ron Sandage and Darrell Dick.
Modified heats went to Rodney Standerfer at the line over Rocky Griffin, Tim O'Donnell over Kyle Byerline, and Jeff Leka over Brian Lynn. Leka won his third feature in a row, this time over Brian Lynn, shutting out all competitors so far this year.
