Thirty one late models took time trials Friday night, with Bloomington's Rocky Griffin turning in fast time at 13.392 seconds. Roger Long won the first heat in a spirited battle over Joe Harlan and Ed Barth. The second heat went to Mike Mullvain over Joe Ross Jr and Jason Cleaver. The third heat was won by Chris Dick over Darren Freidman and Eric Smith. The final heat went to Brian Dively over Matt Taylor and Jay Sparks. The semi went to Jeremy Conaway over Cory Rolfe. The feature was led from green to checkers by veteran Roger Long, but he was pressured most of the way by Mike Mullvain. During the closing laps, Chris Dick powered around Mullvain and closed in on Long, falling just short of a victory.

Denny Schwartz led Jeff Leka to the checkers in the modified division. The dynamic duo was followed by Scott Bull, Matt Goulden, and Tim O'Donnell in his first night out in 2006. Goulden, Bull and O'Donnell won the heats with the semi going to Bobby Pearson over McKay Wenger.
The sportsman feature went to Greg Kimmons over Nick Macklin again, but this time Kimmons started out front and Macklin came from deep in the field.
Easter Seals will be having a fundraiser June 23rd at Farmer City Raceway. This is with the cooperation of UMP, and will be held in conjunction with the UMP Summernationals. Also, there will be raffles, giveaways, and the kids will be able to put their hand prints on Steve Brandt's race car. There will be a few special edition tee shirts and there will be one signed by as many drivers that night as possible up for raffle. Time allowing, Steve Brandt may be able to have the good ole pie in the face.
