Dennis Erb, Jr came to Farmer City Friday night ready to win. And win he did. With 30 qualifiers on hand, Roger Long set fast time. Erb won the dash over Brian Shirley and RJ Gall. The first heat went to Guy Taylor over Ryan Unzicker, the second heat to Jammie Wilson over Donnie Walden, then the third heat came out. Richie Hedrick took off in the lead, with Erb chasing him. Hedrick led until the white flag lap, then the two friends swapped the lead several times on the last lap, with Erb blasting past Hedrick at the checkers. Kyle Logue won the semi feature over Donnie Walden. In the feature Brian Shirley used his pole position to leave everyone else behind. But by lap 8, Erb had run down and passed him, never to look back enroute to the checkered flag. Brian Shirley, RJ Gall, Roger Long and Richie Hedrick rounded out the top five.
