After 6 nights of racing, we have had great and exciting racing with a story in every class:
Late Models:
5 feature events, 5 different winners:
4/3/09 Kevin Weaver (WoO non-qualifier feature)
4/4/09 Shane Clanton (WoO feature)
4/17/09 Tim Lance
5/22/09 Daren Friedman
5/29/09 Joe Harlan (Monster Midwest Series)
Crate Late Models:
After Jim Moon wins the first 3 nights in a row, Nick Bauman takes the 4th night and last week 12 year old Bobby Pierce walks away with his historical career first late model win at the same track that his father Bob celebrated his last career late model win.
Modifieds:
Denny Schwartz enjoys victory lane 3 nights (4/4, 5/22 and 5/29) while Kent Robinson (4/3), Chad Osterhoff (4/17), and Jeff Leka (4/24) all take home the checkers on their winning nights.
Street Stocks:
Defending track champion Jim Quinn faces some stiff competition and after winning two feature events, shares victory lane with Troy Dodson, Terry Miller and Chuck Barnes Jr.
Hornets:
With only 4 nights in the books, Jason Maier and Eric Wisher have each taken home 2 wins in a very heated battle for track championships.
Kid Modz:
After winning the first feature of the year, Bobby Pierce steps out of the Kid Mod and moves up to Crate Late Models. Heidi Goodman then dominated, winning every feature event until Saturday night at Fairbury Speedway (with a great show of 6 cars) when Kyle Hammer took the win going across the finish line for a very excing race.
