Farmer City ?

So yesterday I made the drive from St. Peters up to Farmer City for the Illini 100. First congrats to Feger and his nation. But my question for others who have been to Farmer City before, is it always a 1 grove/zero passing race track? Feger had trouble passing even lap cars. Just wasnt worth the drive and $35 ticket to watch them play follow the leader.

Back when Bob Sargent promoted it, that was one of best racetracks in the country...

I havn't been up there in about 7 or 8 years but it used to be great 2-3 wide racing. Havn't heard much good about the place the last couple of years though.

Well I hope next year they can get the track prep correct. 1 grove no passing was pretty boring and the Grand Canyon that was forming in turn 1 screwed a lot of cars up.

birky said after the race trackwas good some passing feger was ona rail almost no mistakes that makes a huge difference plenty of passing inthe mods and track was fast itds amomentum type track like i55

i think alot of it was that the track has been setting since last year, i dont think they had run any cars on it till thursday night and they worked on that hole all weekend, they even cut the track saturday morning and worked in back in
