Don't quote me on this because I've slept since I was there.....22 cars, Loyet, Montgomery and Hurley won the heats. Miller, Burch and Burch second. A main Loyet beat Montgomery to the flag by a couple feet but was DQ'd for illegal RR . They had a classic back and forth battle. So it ended up Montgomery, Hurley and I think Bruns from deep in the field. Good race. I am sure they will post full results later.

Does anyone know if it was the wrong compound all together? Or the right compound that had been altered?

Wrong compound. He had on an H15 RR. That tire is legal with every other 410 track and series that I know of including WOO and MOWA. He thought it was same rules as MOWA. But Farmington requires the harder Med compound. That same tire that ASCS requires. Being an ASCS competitor Brad had a trailer full of those tires he could have used. He just didn't verify the Farmington rules. The H15 is the next tire softer from the Med. Both are allowed with MOWA and most other 410 series too. Bad deal for Brad but he knows it was his own fault.

I'm not sure any sprint car track or series actually checks for altered tires. I saw it one time a long time ago.

Thanks for those results Sprint... good sprint car count for opening night, don't you think... especially on Easter weekend

Agree with that Ghost. Tim Montgomery said it was too cold for an old man like him, but he should be there this week and plans to race most nights. A couple of drivers do no have their engines and/or cars ready. Latest unconfirmed report was that Loyet said the DQ was his own fault and the race was the most fun that he has ever had in a spint car.

It will be good to see Tim Montgomery running every weekend again. Missed seeing him at the track last year. I hear Peanut Campbell's #7 sprinter, with a new power plant will be ready this weekend. Joe B Miller will be driving it. He was fast in his dash and heat last week before breaking a drive line early in the A main. Should give the #7 a good drive.
