Monday May 25 Memorial Day Salute Shawano Speedway Shawano, WI
This is the show of the year that you don't want to miss! Fastrak Late Models, Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints and IMCA Sport Mods will tear up the big half mile at Shawano Speedway.
Four weeks into the 2009 season and the Fastrak Great Lakes Late Models have 4 different Feature winners. These drivers are putting on a great show with photo finishes and 3 wide racing throughout the pack! Add the incentive of a $5000 to win 40 lap feature and several late model hot shoes who normally run other classes have decided to join in the fray. Greg Norland made the trip all the way from Wyoming to race in this event. Up to 32 cars will start the feature!
Drivers expected on Monday include:
Fastrak Regulars: Dave Fieber, Brett Swedberg, Jay Chrichton, MJ McBride, Scott Lewis, Joel Bennett, Jeff Wickersheim, Aaron Wickersheim, Tom Naeyaert, Jeff Curtin, Cody Grosskreutz, Terry Gorst, Joe Reuter, Justin Hirt, Dan Wanta, Todd Casper, Steve Petri, Zach Barrow, Jeff Walsh, Cody Welch and Troy Springborn with possible added excitement from Justin Ritchie, Tim Buhler, Greg Norland, AJ Diemel and Paul Parker.
The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints are sure to please NE Wisconsin Sprint fans as they fly around the half mile. The drivers like the track at Shawano and are looking forward to this event. Look for a full field of high flying winged IRA Sprints to add thrills to the show!
The relatively new class of open wheel modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods will round out the racing program. This is a scrappy group of hard driving racers who are a perfect addition to this exciting event.
Cap the evening off with a Salute to Veterans and Spectacular Fireworks display and you will have the perfect ending to a great holiday weekend!
Time trials start at 5:30 races at 6:30. Hope to see you there!
